Welcome to Anchored Student Ministries
As we seek to invest in families of 7th-12th graders, we focus on three Biblical goals that shape everything we do in ministry:
GATHER: We believe that it is vital to be connected to the body of Christ, and crucial for each believer to gather together to worship God with the body of Christ (Hebrews 10:25). Gathering implies more than just mere attendance. It is presence with the purpose of pursuing Christ together and spurring each other to good works (Hebrews 10:24). We desire to do this because God has called us into fellowship (1 Corinthians 1:9) and to speak the truth to one another in love (Ephesians 4:15).
GROW: We believe that the Word of God is our source of truth and growth in godliness (2 Timothy 3:16). Teaching and fellowship around the Scripture is the centerpiece of our gathering times (Acts 2:42). We need the impact of the Scripture to change us from the inside out (Hebrews 4:12). Our desire is to root every student in the Word of God so that they will learn about God, learn to love God, and learn to obey God's truth. Our personal relationship with Jesus should flow directly into building life-on-life discipleship relationships. We desire to exhort one another on a regular basis to guard against the deceitfulness of sin (Hebrews 3:13).
GO: As Christ-followers, we are called to be active participants, not casual bystanders. As much as it is possible, we want to see each student plugged into the church and reaching out with the Gospel to the world around them. As we provoke each other to love and good works, we seek to provide fellowship activities and service opportunities.
