This is a Sunday School class that is primarily made up of empty nesters, or people of about that age.
The goal of the Grace Walk class is to study a variety of subjects and topics using an expository method of teaching verse by verse through that subject. We are usually going through a book of the Bible, but will delve into a topical study occasionally. We always look for what the Scripture says, what it means, and how it applies in the life of the believer.
This class is not a traditional lecture format class, rather it is led with a small group mindset. People can and do share comments, questions and enjoy some lively discussion on the subject or verses that are being taught.
In addition to time for the study of the Word of God, we also have a time of sharing praises and prayer requests. A weekly prayer list is distributed, lifting up the needs of members, families, missionaries etc. The fellowship times that we share are intended to help us get to know one another better and deepen our relationships with one another so that we are better able to carry out the “one another” commands that we find throughout the Bible. We have occasional parties in the class and try to have lunch together at least once every 3 months.
