Clay is originally from Catawba, North Carolina.  He came to Lynchburg in 2005 to attend Liberty University.  During his freshman year, the Lord began to expose his religious hypocrisy and eventually brought him to genuine faith in Christ.  As he grew in Christ, the Lord fueled his desire for ministry.  He graduated with a BA in Biblical Studies in 2009 and was introduced to the ministry of Timberlake by a close friend.  In 2010, he transitioned his membership and enrolled in The Expositors Seminary at TBC.

After graduation, Clay joined the pastoral staff. He now serves as a vocational elder, overseeing the college and music ministries.
