ASSOCIATE PASTOR OF STUDENT MINISTRIES & WORSHIP
Stephen Conley was born and raised in Fayetteville, Georgia. He had the privilege of hearing the Gospel at an early age and was converted as a young teenager. He was blessed to have godly parents and mentors who shepherded and guided him throughout his life. It was during his years as a student that God ignited a burning desire in his heart to serve God in a life of ministry for His glory.
After high school, Stephen attended a Christian college in Wisconsin, where he received his B.A. in Bible and a Master of Arts degree in Biblical Studies. It was during this time that he also met his wife Shannon where they were married. Shortly thereafter, the Conleys moved to Virginia to pursue a M.Div. at Virginia Beach Theological Seminary. It was during these next three years that the Conleys served in two different churches in the student ministry and in church planting. God used these years to develop the Conleys in the areas of Christ-centered discipleship, Biblical counseling, and a Biblical philosophy of ministry.
Shortly after graduating from seminary in 2007, God brought the Conleys to Lynchburg to serve at Timberlake Baptist Church. For the past 10 years, Stephen has served as the Student Ministries Pastor for the church as well as for Timberlake Christian School. He also ministers as the "lead-worshipper" for Sunday services. Stephen and Shannon desire to come alongside parents in building men and women who are committed to the Gospel and a supreme love for God that is displayed in their daily walk. In 2019, Stephen graduated from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky with a D.Min in Expository Preaching.
In his spare time, Stephen enjoys running and spending time with his family. The Conleys have been blessed with three children: Esther, Jonas, and Isaac.
