The Expositors Seminary Wives
The Timberlake Expositors Seminary was established in the fall of 2011. It was the burden of some staff wives to provide more frequent training, mentoring, and fellowship for the seminary wives, and thus the TESW was established.
Our mission: Preparing women to be suitable helpers to their husbands both in the home and in the local church by providing biblical instruction and practical experience in an encouraging and mentoring environment.
The program consists of the following four courses:
TES meets on eight Mondays each semester in TBC Library of Timberlake Baptist Chruch. The cost for each semester is $20 and includes the course notebook. The class begins at 6:30 with an hour of instruction by a special speaker on a designated topic, and is followed by half an hour of small group time of discussion, prayer, and encouragement. The groups consist of seminary wives, a table leader, and an older woman mentor. Light refreshments are provided each Monday evening.
There are three requirements. First, each wife must attend at least 6 out of 8 classes. Second, each student must read one book from the reading list and prepare a one page review. Third, each student must choose one of the practical projects to work on over the course of the semester. Projects and book reviews are due at the last class meeting of the course.
