Stephen Conley was born and raised in Fayetteville, GA.  He had the privilege of hearing the Gospel at an early age and was converted as a young teenager.  He was blessed to have godly parents and mentors who shepherded and guided him throughout his life.  It was during his years as a student that God gave him opportunities for ministry and leadership, and ignited a burning desire in his heart to serve God in a life of ministry for His glory.

 After high school, Stephen attended Northland International University where he received his B.A. in Bible with a Theology minor in 2001.  While in college, he met his wife Shannon, and they were married in 2002.  Stephen remained as a graduate student at Northland and graduated three years later with a Master of Arts degree in Biblical Studies.  It was during this time that he worked on Northland’s staff as the men’s dorm supervisor.  This role gave him the opportunity to disciple others and continue to be mentored.  In the summer of 2004, the Conleys moved to Virginia Beach, VA to pursue a Master of Divinity degree at Central Baptist Theological Seminary.  It was during these next 3 years that the Conleys served in 2 different churches in the student ministry and in church planting.  God used these years to develop the Conleys in the areas of Christ-centered discipleship, Biblical counseling, and a Biblical philosophy of ministry.

Shortly after graduating from seminary, God brought the Conleys to Timberlake Baptist Church in October 2007.  Stephen serves as the Student Ministries Pastor as well as the worship leader for Sunday services.  Stephen and Shannon desire to come alongside parents as they shepherd their families to partner with them in building men and women who are committed to the Gospel and a supreme love for God that is displayed in their daily walk.   Their prayer is for each student to become an active and passionate participant in the body of Christ.

The Conleys have 3 children, Esther, born in 2005, Jonas, born in 2008, and Isaac, born in 2011.
