Jason was born in Battle Creek, MI.   His family moved to Rustburg Va. while he was still an infant.     He got his first job, at the age of 15, at Timberlake Baptist Church as part of the maintenance/custodial staff.  He graduated from Timberlake Christian Schools and earned a Bachelors in Mathematics from Liberty University. While in college, he managed the Tech Center at Staples and developed a greater interest in computers. He taught high school math for six years before returning to the church as the IT Director for Timberlake Baptist Ministries. His responsibilities include managing email servers and local area networks at TBC and TCS, as well as overseeing the audio/video needs for the church and school.

He and his wife Leah have two children, Charlotte and Thaxton.
